.rar and .zip files need to be extracted before placing in the appropriate folder. to extract .rar files make sure you have 7 Zip or WinRar (I use 7 Zip) and then it is basic knowledge to place items there, some items however to use are slightly more complicated like Scripts, HUDs and some weapons (because some do not have an entity associated with it).

It is the .fpi script controlling your zombie you need to change, inside the .fpi script there will be a command on how far the player needs to be in order for the zombie to attack you, not sure where but it is in there, have a look and hopefully you will find it.

First off i just want to say that this really is a awesome site with very creative people on here. But i am trying to get my zombie for my FPS game notice me from a greater distance. i have to literally go up to him about 6 squares away. I am trying to make a zombie game where you camp out and there is waves of attacks of them. Message me if you got any ideas please i am really stuck here.

How to fix that problem? First, make sure that the sound file you have is a ".wav" file. If not, google "WinFF" its a file converter that does everything. Put the .wav file in the audiobank of FPS Creator. The folders are just to organize, you need them but the sound/music does have to be in the audiobank. Hope this helps!
